  • Bay Area Bicycle Rental will deliver to you wherever you are in the Bay Area! If you’re in Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond, Hayward, Lafayette, Orinda, Walnut Creek, and Concord, we’ll come to you for free. If you’re outside of those areas, we just ask you to pay a small additional fee.

Please note: The customer must arrive at the agreed-upon delivery location within 30 minutes of their reserved time. If the customer is more than 30 minutes late, the company reserves the right to cancel their rental without a refund.

  • We work on your schedule, and we will meet you at a location chosen by you, so you have a bicycle when you need it without having to make an extra trip.

  • It’s up to you! Most of our customers rent for a week or less, but we are happy to rent for a month or longer to accommodate your particular circumstances. Our base pricing is as follows:

    • 1 day = $100

    • 2 days = $135

    • 3 days = $170

    • 4 days = $170

    • 5 days = $205

    • 6 days = $240

    • 6+ days = Email us here

    • 1 month: $325

  • At this time, we only accept credit/debit cards through our website. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and a few others. If you encounter issues at checkout, please reach out to us.

  • We will collect a completed credit-card authorization form when dropping off the bike in case of damages to or loss of the bike. The form will authorize a deposit of $250.

  • We require our users to have a helmet to ride our bikes. We will provide a helmet for all riders, unless they show they have their own when we deliver the bike. We offer bike lights (and floor pumps) as an add-on to your rental for an additional $10.

We do not rent locks. Bike and component theft are unfortunately common in the Bay Area. Accordingly, we recommend staying with the bike at all times, and we do not recommend locking it anywhere.

  • If there are issues with the bike, contact us at the phone number we used to arrange your bike delivery, and we will help you troubleshoot or will send a team member to meet you within our delivery zone to provide assistance.

If you have an accident on one of our bikes, please make sure you are safe and properly tended to first. Call 911 if you need urgent medical attention. Then, contact us at the phone number we used to arrange your bike delivery, and we will coordinate whatever needs to happen for the bicycle. We will give all riders a number they can call upon delivery of the bike.

We will provide riders with basic maintenance supplies (saddle bag, spare tube, tire levers, hand pump, patch kit) before their rides in case they need to repair a flat tire.

  • Cancel up to 24 hours ahead of your reservation for a full refund.

  • The customer must return the bike at the agreed-upon location within 30 minutes of their reserved time.  If the customer is more than 30 minutes late, the company will charge an additional $35. More than two hours, you’ll be charged a fee for another rental day.
